In particular, ‘pilgrimage tours’ that involve visiting the background locations of the most touching scenes from dramas or films, or the places where favorite stars were filmed, offer a special travel experience not only for fans but also for ordinary visitors simply enjoying the content.

Seoul City has selected K-content pilgrimage spots for people seeking a new travel sensibility and those who want a trip to experience Hallyu. These Soul Spots, a great gift for anyone wanting a content tour, were chosen by selecting especially beloved works among many K-content titles that became the source of Hallyu, such as K-dramas, K-movies, and K-pop, and then picking the main filming locations from those works.

Soul Spots include a BI (logo) inspired by a slate that signals the start of filming. Through this, visitors can instantly recognize that this is a K-content spot, while travelers from around the world can more easily enjoy a Hallyu experience trip. Like a Michelin Guide sticker proving a place has great food, if you see the ‘Soul Spot’ BI where your footsteps have led, it is a K-content Soul Spot.

Soul Spots, the starting point of K-content travel

The appeal of K-content lies in the way each work draws interest through variations in diverse materials and themes, much like Seoul’s many different faces. The large and beautiful city of Seoul radiates a different charm in every district and at every location.

The places selected as Soul Spots this time are also hot spots in Seoul with plenty to see and enjoy. Another fun part of a K-content pilgrimage tour, following places featured in Korean dramas, films, and music videos, is the AI docent. The AI docent can be heard by scanning the QR code attached to the signboard at Soul Spots, which was created with Sky Coral, the 2024 Seoul color, and a film design. Using the voice of announcer Kim Daeho, who has recently become a popular variety show star, AI will provide useful information at each Soul Spot. Offered in four languages—Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese—the AI docent will introduce the content related to each Soul Spot and provide information about the location, serving as a helpful travel guide.

A film-shaped photo zone is prepared at the locations selected as Soul Spots. Based on the signboard type, photo zones in horizontal and vertical forms will be installed in variations at each place, so enjoy the feeling of becoming the main character in the work. Seoul City selected Soul Spots that will offer new travel experiences and prepared a special event with tvN. Just in time for autumn, the best season for running, the virtual running campaign ‘Ttuvien,’ combining running and K-content, which has recently gained popularity in Korea, is the main event.

‘Ttuvien’ lets you enjoy Seoul’s beautiful scenery while running between Soul Spot locations. You can choose the route or Soul Spot configuration you want from five courses in total: beginner, novice, passionate, enthusiast, and pro. To participate, freely choose a running course on your own, complete it, then upload a post to Instagram with a screenshot of the finish screen showing the distance and course. You may choose any running app you like, but when uploading to Instagram, be sure to include the hashtags “#뛰비엔”, “#tvN”, and “#같이달려tvN” so that you are automatically entered into the event.
