Myeongdong Theater In Myeongdong, there is a place where you can feel the history of culture and the arts. Opened in October 1936, Myeongdong Theater was a large cinema that could seat around 1,100 people. After Liberation, it was used as a performance venue, and following a renovation in 2009, it reopened as a theater dedicated to stage plays. It was designated as a Seoul Future Heritage site, recognizing its value as a center of modern and contemporary Korean culture and the arts.
