MERQUAT 550PR is an aqueous cationic copolymer developed for improved compatibility and clarity in anionic surfactant systems and is a low residual acrylamide polymer. This highly substantive copolymer is recommended to improve wet and dry properties of hair care products and to enhance feel in skin care products. MERQUAT 550PR provides luster and a soft, silky feel. It provides rich, creamy foam and excellent slip, lubricity and snag-free wet combability without excessive buildup. It also imparts excellent dry combability. Panel studies document excellent hair softness and wet hair feel during washing, rinsing and after rinsing. For skin care products, MERQUAT 550PR imparts a smooth, velvety feel; reduces tightness after drying skin and provides excellent moisturization. It contributes lubricity which can help make products easier to apply.
