DEKANEX 2004 FG is a synthetic oil produced by oligomerisation of 1-decene. It has a uniquely high purity and silky skin feeling which brings softness, emolliency and spreadability to formulations. DEKANEX 2004 FG can be considered as a sensory alternative to light MW silicones. Having excellent oxidation and thermal stability, DEKANEX 2004 FG is suitable for use in personal care products where it helps provide a smooth application, while bringing an evanescent, silky, non-oily skin feel. DEKANEX 2004 FG is compatible with common emollients and other oil phase ingredients making it ideal for a large range of personal care formulations that require a pure and mild emollient. This product has a uniquely high purity and is suitable for demanding applications. Thanks to the compliance to the very strict readily carbonisable substances test and its UV transparency and stability, this includes e.g. sun care. DEKANEX 2004 FG is halal certified. Its non-greasy and silky skin feeling brings softness, emolliency and spreadability to formulations and can be considered as a sensory alternative to non-volatile silicones. Being extremely pure and fully innocuous, this is the ideal ingredient for a large range of cosmetic products (skin care, sun care,color cosmetics, baby care). Hydrogenated Polydecene with a unique high purity. A synthetic oil, obtained by oligomerisation of 1-decene. Due to its manufacturing process, it consists of oligomers (C30, C40, C50 etc.) instead of a large collection of different constituents. Moreover, the severe purification processes applied provides an unsurpassed high purity, as demonstrated by the readily carbonisable substances test ('hot acid test'), as mentioned in the food monograph of hydrogenated polydecene. This provides for instance a high inertness and UV transparency, meaning it is suitable for demanding applications. The viscosity at 100 °C is around 4 cSt. A higher viscosity (around 6 cSt) is available as Dekanex 2006 FG.
