LIFE Oléobooster® is a micro-structured oil-based extract stabilized by Hallstar’s exclusive Oléo-éco-extraction™ technology and preserves optimal energy level in cells and helps to minimize signs of tired skin. To reveal fresh, healthy, toned skin every day, our cells need energy. Fortunately, the body’s unique source of cellular energy, the mitochondria, acts like biological batteries. If we want to minimize all signs of fatigue, we must protect our mitochondria to limit their natural degradation by reactive oxygen species (ROS). LIFE Oléobooster® is like a battery for cell life. Its antioxidant properties boost energy production by enabling our bodies to fight ROS, providing natural energy for tired skin. Stevia is well known for the sweetening power of its steviol-glycosides and for its energetic value. Stevia concentrates many active compounds: tannins, saponins, diterpenes, flavonoids and polyphenolic compounds. Cistus is a typical plant from a Mediterranean area called Garrigue. Cistus has a high natural resistance to dryness and photo-oxidation due to its pool of strong phenolic antioxidants. Both plants are sourced locally in the south of France with a proven traceability. They are extracted with rapeseed oil, rich in essential fatty acids, omega 3 & 6, and antioxidant tocopherols. Thanks to the synergistic anti-radical power of stevia and cistus, LIFE Oléobooster® protects the mitochondria and fights against skin fatigue. Ex vivo testing has proven LIFE Oléobooster®‘s effect on mitochondrial aconitase, an enzyme involved in the energetic Krebs cycle and in protection of mitochondrial DNA against external aggressions like UV rays or pollution. Tested on skin explants, a capacity to regulate the UV-induced over-expression of aconitase, rebalancing the mitochondrial activity, has been shown. Applied at a dose of 2%, LIFE Oléobooster® protects the mitochondria, helping the cells to maintain their optimal energy levels. The consequence is smoother, brighter and revived skin. Further ex vivo testing has shown that LIFE Oléobooster® increases the density of the dermis’ major protein, collagen, so skin looks revitalized. Cutaneous signs of fatigue, dull complexion, and dark circles are reduced.
