Hicos PIS PIS is a cosmetic oil-based material which has rich and soft texture makes the skin be shiny by forming a protective film on the skin and suitable for applying to cream for dry skin etc. Ⅰ. Introduction Hicos PIS is synthetic ester of pentaerythritol and isostearic acid. Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate is a light yellowish, oily liquid that is used in the emollient of a wide variety of cosmetic & personal care products. What are emollients? Emollients, or moisturizers help keep the skin dry by reducing water loss from the epidermis - the outer layer of skin. Emollients keep the skin moist and supple by providing a protective film. Ⅱ. Typical Characteristics Hicos PIS is a highly branched liquid ester with excellent emollient properties. Provides a soft, cushiony feel to the skin protection. Excellent pigment wetting agent. Has film forming properties and is ultra glossy. It is low spreading capacity and high viscosity imparts excellent water repellent properties. Ⅴ. Application Hicos PIS is suitable for various personal care applications. This product is very easy to incorporate into the oil phase of emulsions, or all oil systems. Ⅵ.
