Fully activated rheology additive based on organophilic phyllosilicate for oil and solvent phases in personal care applications. [Product family] TIXOGEL additives are fully activated mastergels from BYK for use as rheology additives in personal care applications. The additives provide thixotropic flow behavior, as well as pigment suspension in a variety of cosmeticformulations. TIXOGEL-DMC is an easy-to-use rheology additive, specially designed to facilitate the development and production of D5-free formulations with improved sensoriality. It consists of a fully activated quaternium-90 bentonite, an organically modified bentonite, dispersed in a low-viscosity dimethicone for use in cosmetic products. TIXOGEL-DMC provides thixotropic flow behavior and stabilizes emulsions in a wide range of solvents. The additive is used to thicken and stabilize emulsions, suspend pigments in color cosmetics and skin care products, and is compatible with cold processing methods. It is particularly beneficial for enhancing the sensory properties of D5-free formulations, as it delivers a dry, silky, and non-tacky feel to the skin. TIXOGEL-DMC enhances the spreadabiltiy of creamy textures and, in stick and waxy formulations, minimizes drag while improving the pour performance. 적용: Creams and lotions (especially recommended), Sunscreen products (especially recommended), Liquid makeup (especially recommended), Antiperspirants/deos (especially recommended), Hair styling products [Incorporation] TIXOGEL-DMC can be easily incorporated at almost any stage of the manufacturing process with medium shear. For an optimal dispersion, the additive is mixed and homogenized with a portion of the most compatible organic component or solvent of the formulation before other ingredients are added. TIXOGEL-DMC can be used for cold processing. [Note] TIXOGEL-DMC is a fully activated mastergel. It does not require further activation.
