Argan oil (also known as Moroccan oil) is derived from the Argania spinosa tree. This tree is known as the "healing tree" in the region of Morocco where it grows. This is one of the very few places on earth where the tree thrives and bears a multitude of seeds. From these seeds comes an exquisite oil, with excellent nutritive properties that protect and lavish the skin with moisture without leaving an oily or greasy skin feel. Argan oil is rich with triterpenoids (skin healing properties), polyphenols (inflammation reduction), tocopherols (anti-aging activity) and two exclusive phytosterols (schottenol and spinasterol) that are ravenous free radical scavengers. Biochemica® Argan Oil Refined may be used in all types of soap and toiletries to improve moisturization, soften rough, dry skin, and impart luster and strength to hair. The recommended use level is application dependent and is between 1 and 100%.
