Four structures you keep seeing in K-beauty short videos that travel well abroad

Scroll through K-beauty on TikTok or Instagram Reels and some formats repeat again and again. Here are the structures brand marketers often reference. None of them guarantees results, but they make good starting points for planning.

1. Texture close-up

  • Show the formula big in the first few seconds: a gel sliding, a sunscreen spreading with no white cast
  • It runs on sound and texture more than talking, so language barriers are low

2. Routine order

  • Layering products step by step, like "a Korean morning routine"
  • Overseas viewers are often curious about the order itself

3. One-line ingredient explainer

  • A short explanation of one ingredient, then the product
  • Efficacy wording still has to follow ad rules, so avoid pasting supplier claims

4. Olive Young haul or shopping

  • Showing the process of choosing in a Korean store, which also ties into travel demand

Common checks

  • If it is sponsored, disclose clearly at the start of the video and in the caption
  • Keep captions short and show product names correctly on screen
