From Spain, the image is still closely tied to glowing skin and innovative formulas, but it is increasingly seen as less about “perfect skin at any cost.” On social media, there is more talk about the skin barrier, sun protection, and routines that fit into real life; looks featuring freckles, bolder lips, and less polished finishes are also gaining traction. Even so, advertising and certain ideals—an even complexion, small features, youth—have not disappeared, and aesthetic pressure can easily coexist with more diverse trends.
It also helps to distinguish everyday Korean beauty from its exported version: “glass skin” and ten-step routines are highly visible images, not a rule everyone follows. To me, the most interesting change is not that there is a new, single ideal, but that there is more discussion about who defines it and how much work it should require.
