Everyone who ends up on a K-beauty forum has a first moment. For some it was a sheet mask from a friend's trip, for others a K-drama close-up or a video about double cleansing at 2 a.m.
The origin stories people share most often:
- A gift or souvenir from someone who visited Korea
- K-dramas and K-pop, and wondering how the skin looked so even
- A sunscreen recommendation that finally did not feel heavy
- A skin problem that sent them searching for gentler options
- A trip to Seoul and a very long drugstore visit
The category has changed a lot since then. It now fills shelves in big retailers abroad, but most fans still remember that first product.
