GTC is a triglyceride type base oil from natural sources. It has good compatibility with var ious oil soluble material and which is suitable for naturalism cosmetics as a base compon ent. Ⅰ. Introduction Hicos GTC is synthetic ester of glycerin and caprylic/capric acid. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is a light yellowish, oily liquid that is used in the formulation of a wide variety of cosmetic & personal care products. What are emollients? Emollients, or moisturizers help keep the skin healthy by reducing water loss from the epidermis -the outer layer of skin. Emollients keep the skin moist and supple by providing a protective film. Ⅱ. Typical Characteristics Hicos GTC is less oily, suitable adsorption, it is a medium molecula weight and the almost odorless. Good skin compatibility due to from natural coconut origin. Ⅴ. Application Hicos GTC is a common emollient and also a highly popular dispersing agent, and is often used as a vitamin solvent. It is often used for the production of soap, due to its function as a superfatting oil.
