Which viral beauty product let you down? Honest takes only
Every few months a product takes over every feed, sells out, and then the second wave of opinions arrives. Some hold up. Some quietly disappear from shelves and routines.
On skincare forums, the reasons people give for a letdown are usually similar:
- Texture mismatch: it looked amazing on camera but pilled, felt sticky or clashed with sunscreen
- Skin type: loved by oily skin, not by dry, or the other way round
- Hype gap: it was fine, just not life-changing for the price
- Reaction: fragrance or an active that did not suit someone's skin
The point is not to trash anyone's favourite. One person's letdown is another person's holy grail, and hearing why helps others choose.
