Buy K-beauty in Seoul or order cross-border at home — how big is the gap?
A debate that comes up constantly in Chinese-speaking K-beauty groups: is it really cheaper to buy in Korea than on cross-border shopping platforms back home?
The usual arguments:
- Korean stores often run 1+1 deals and bonus sets, which can bring the unit price down
- Cross-border platforms during big sales, with stacked coupons, can be very competitive
- Stores in Korea carry new launches and indie brands not yet sold abroad
- Ordering online means no luggage headaches
- Some people simply feel more confident about authenticity buying in person
