La cosmética coreana ya mueve US$92 millones en Latinoamérica
A NielsenIQ report (K-Beauty Goes Global), covered by Forbes Argentina in September 2026, puts numbers on what many of us had already noticed on social media:
-
Korean cosmetics exports to Argentina, Brazil and Mexicogrew fromUS$35 million in 2023toUS$92 million in 2025.
-
Social media searches for Korean cosmetics rose 125% during 2025.
-
The usual entry point is facial cleansing; makeup, moisturisers, sunscreen and hair care come after.
The report also describes a "one-bite luxury" habit: small or mini formats from premium brands instead of one big purchase.
Our open question: if most of the growth comes through social commerce, how much arrives via official importers and how much via informal resellers?
Do you see more physical K-beauty shops in your country than two years ago, or is it still mostly online?
