Be honest: do you actually reapply sunscreen over makeup? How?
Reapplication is the part of sun protection that most people quietly skip. It gets even harder once there is foundation or cushion on top.
The methods people share most on skincare forums:
- Sunscreen cushions or compacts, pressed on with the puff
- Sun sticks, patted rather than dragged so they do not move makeup
- SPF mists, which many people say are convenient but hard to apply evenly
- Tinted sunscreen as a touch-up, blotting first and then pressing a thin layer
- Powder with SPF, often described as a top-up, not the main protection
A common tip: blot oil with a tissue before reapplying so the layer does not slide around.
In Korea, sun cushions and sticks are everywhere in drugstores, which says a lot about how normal midday reapplication is there.
What is your reapplication method on a full-makeup day, and does it actually hold up?
