Got sunburnt at the Fan Fest: which sunscreen isn't greasy or white?

On r/mexico, someone said they got sunburnt at the World Cup Fan Fest and asked for an everyday face sunscreen that doesn't leave skin greasy or white, ideally one sold at the supermarket.

What the replies said:

  • Tocobo, a Korean brand, came up twice as a favourite; another person suggested SKIN1004, which sometimes shows up cheaper on TikTok Shop or Amazon.

  • Pharmacy and supermarket picks included Nivea's facial sunscreen for sensitive skin, the house-brand sunscreen from Farmacias Similares for being cheap and effective, and a dry-touch Garnier with vitamin C.

  • For bigger budgets: a matte dry-touch Eucerin ("feels like you're not wearing anything"), an SVR blur mousse (pick the untinted version so it doesn't stain clothes), and ISDIN in fluid or stick form.

  • One person admitted a Heliocare stick does leave the face a bit greasy, but said it's worth it for them.

  • A warning: one recommended sunscreen made someone's eyes burn and water "like chopping onions".

No single winner; the Korean picks were the lightweight option and pharmacy brands the easy-to-find one.

Desk note: the US FDA advises reapplying sunscreen at least every two hours, and more often if you're swimming or sweating. At an all-day outdoor event, the brand matters less than carrying it and reapplying; a stick or small size helps.

What's your go-to sunscreen for long days in the sun in Mexico, and where do you buy it?
