Your first Korean routine: start with 3 steps, not 10
The famous "10-step routine" scares off a lot of beginners. In practice, plenty of people in Korea keep short routines too. To start, this is enough:
Morning
- Gentle cleanse (or just water if your skin is dry).
- Moisturiser for your skin: gel if oily, cream if dry.
- Sunscreen, every day, even when it's cloudy.
Night
- Cleanse (double if you wore water-resistant sunscreen or makeup).
- Moisturiser.
Adding products without chaos:
-
Add one at a time and wait a couple of weeks before the next.
-
Patch test a small area (behind the ear or along the jaw).
-
If something keeps burning or stinging, stop; if it doesn't settle, see a professional.
Toners, essences and sheet masks are extras, not obligations.
What was the first Korean product you added to your basic routine?
