How do you decide if a viral K-beauty product is worth buying?
Every few weeks a Korean product blows up on short-video feeds and sells out. Some turn into long-term favorites. Others end up half-used in a drawer.
Questions people on beauty forums say they ask first:
- What problem does it solve for me? A viral pore product is not useful if pores are not your concern.
- Is the hype about texture or results? Satisfying swatches do not always mean it works long term.
- Who is reviewing it? Look for reviewers with a skin type like yours, and for mentions of gifted or sponsored posts.
- What is in it? Check the full ingredient list for things you already know you react to.
- Do I own something similar? Many "dupes" of your current routine are just new packaging.
A popular rule: wait two to four weeks after the hype peaks. By then there are more honest long-term reviews, and the restock often comes with a discount.
