Sheet masks as Korea souvenirs: do people actually love getting them?
The first gift idea from a Korea trip is almost always sheet masks. Light, cheap, easy to hand out. But travel forums show opinions on this "default souvenir" are more mixed than you'd think.

- Easy to split, great for a bunch of coworkers or friends
- Single use, so people can try one without any pressure
The case against
- If you don't know their skin type, it might not suit them
- So common that some say it doesn't feel very special anymore
- Some people are sensitive to fragrance or ingredients, so products with an English ingredient list feel safer
That's why you now often see people bundle masks with Korean snacks or a small hand cream into little gift packs. If they're unsure of someone's preferences, many pick a gentle, simple type.
