Before booking, check what they mean by “scalp analysis.” Some salons show you your scalp with a camera, but the analysis is not a medical examination; it’s just a guide for deciding what treatment to provide. If you have concerning symptoms such as redness, itching, or sudden hair loss, see a dermatologist before going to a spa.
On the booking page, check whether blow-drying is included in the treatment time, whether there’s an extra fee to request a specific staff member, whether they offer service in English, and their cancellation policy. These Korean phrases are useful: “두피 스케일링(scalp scaling),” “샴푸 포함인가요?(Is shampoo included?),” and “드라이 포함인가요?(Is blow-drying included?)” Your hair may still be wet when you leave after the treatment, so leave some extra time in your schedule. If you dislike strong scrubs or fragrances, it’s a good idea to mention that when you book.
It sounds like a fun treat while traveling, but it’s probably best to think of it as more for relaxation than as a way to treat scalp problems. If you’ve been, please share anything you were glad you checked when booking.
