Daiso in Myeongdong turning into a tourist stop isn't just a vibe; the numbers back it up. According to Korean press, foreign card spending at Daisorose 130% in 2023, 50% in 2024 and 60% in 2025, and wasup 70% year on year in Q1 2026.
So what goes in the basket? The rankings reported:
Beauty
- No. 1: VT PDRN brightening sheet mask
- No. 2 and 3: Vaseline mask packs
Snacks
- No. 1: Samlip mini honey yakgwa
- Then honey butter almonds and choco-chip mochi cookies
Why sheet masks? Industry people said they work both as a souvenir and as something you actually use: light, easy to split among friends, and very Korea. Filling one basket with snacks and beauty, a kind of K-snack gift haul, is common too.
