Beauty advent calendar season is here. Great value or drawer clutter?
It is late September and advent calendars are already appearing, including more K-beauty editions than ever. Every year the same debate starts on beauty forums.
The case for:
- A low-risk way to try many products, including brands you would not buy full size
- Minis are good for travel and gym bags
- Honestly, opening a door every morning in December is fun
The case against:
- The advertised total value assumes you would have bought everything at full price
- Many calendars include items that do not suit your skin type or shade
- Lots of small packaging, and minis can go unused until they expire
A tip people repeat: before buying, check the full list of contents and count how many you would genuinely use. If it is fewer than half, a couple of full-size products may be better value.
