All-in-one or separate steps? The men's skincare debate
Walk down a Korean men's aisle and you will see two philosophies side by side: all-in-onebottles (toner, essence and lotion in one) and fullstep-by-step lines.
The all-in-one camp says:
-
It is the only routine they will actually stick to.
-
Fewer products, less cost, less clutter.
-
Good enough for skin without many concerns.
The step-by-step camp says:
-
You can target specific issues, like dryness or oil, separately.
-
Easier to find out which product causes a reaction.
-
Layering lighter products can feel better in humid weather.
A middle path many people land on:
-
Cleanser + all-in-one at night.
-
Cleanser + all-in-one + sunscreen in the morning.
-
Add one targeted product only when there is a clear concern.
The best routine is usually the one done every day, not the longest one.
Which camp are you in? And if you moved from one to the other, what changed your mind?
