Seoul's Climate Card for visitors: short passes stay, the 30-day one goes
Seoul is reshuffling its unlimited transit cards this autumn, and a lot of travellers have asked whether the tourist version is affected. According to the Seoul city site, the short-term passes remain.
Short-term pass prices (official)

What it covers: Seoul subway lines plus some Gyeonggi-run routes, Seoul-licensed city buses, and Ttareungi bikes.
What it does not cover: the Sinbundang Line, non-Seoul subway lines, intercity and airport buses, non-Seoul buses and the Hangang river bus. Plan your airport trip separately.
Buying it: physical cards at subway vending machines and convenience stores; international credit and debit cards have been accepted since March 2025.
What changed: the 30-day card is being phased out and replaced by a new pass for Seoul residents only, from September 1, 2026.
