It would be good to tell your friend first, “Even if the price looks low, you need to look at the treatment scope and terms too.” Tell them to check whether the advertised price is per session, applies only to a specific area, or comes with conditions such as a first visit, membership, or VAT. They should also ask during the consultation who will actually perform the treatment.
Especially with laser or injection treatments, the equipment, shot count, dosage, and treatment area may differ even when the treatment has the same name. Rather than paying for a package on the spot in the consultation room, it’s safer to get the total price and any additional costs, downtime, expected side effects, and aftercare instructions in writing so they can compare them. If they’re not comfortable with Korean, they should also check whether interpretation support is available and whether the consent form is translated.
A suitable message to send would be: “Don’t compare prices alone; check exactly what treatment you’ll get, how many sessions, and whether there are extra costs. If you have severe pain or sudden skin changes, seeing a board-certified dermatologist should come before getting a treatment.”
