Two days in Korea: which beauty buys paid off? 42 answers, mostly sheet masks

In January 2026, someone posted on the @cosme Q&A board in Japan: "I'm off to Korea tomorrow for one night! Which cosmetics were you glad you bought?" It went up the day before departure and still drew 42 answers.

What the replies said

  • The most common answer, regardless of brand: sheet masks
  • Good for yourself and as gifts, and individually wrapped ones are handy
  • Names mentioned: Abib, Torriden, numbuzin No.3 and No.5, d'Alba, VT
  • Some bought Anua toner, SKIN1004 Centella or Centellian24's pink line at Olive Young
  • For makeup: fwee and espoir lips, too cool for school's under-eye liner, AMUSE, cushion foundation
  • And a cool-headed take: most cosmetics are sold in Japan too, so maybe look at fashion instead

For a short trip, most said: stock up on masks, which are compact and fun to pick.

Desk note The "you can get it in Japan anyway" point has some backing. Olive Young's international store, OLIVE YOUNG Global, lists delivery to Japan at about 6–7 days with free shipping from ¥3,900, and states that prices and shipping exclude taxes and duties. In Seoul, prioritizing things you can only see there is one way to spend a short trip.

On a short Korea trip, what do you always buy?
