Mexicans heading to Korea in 2026: no K-ETA until 31 December
If you hold a Mexican passport and are planning Seoul, there's good news for the rest of the year: Korea's Ministry of Justice extended the temporary K-ETA exemption(electronic travel authorisation) for Mexican passport holdersfrom 1 January to 31 December 2026, as reported by Alan x el Mundo.
What it means in practice:

No need to apply or pay for a K-ETA for tourism or business trips within that period.

Visa-free stays are still capped at 90 days.

Only for non-paid activities: working without a permit or overstaying can lead to fines or deportation.
Our tip: before booking flights for 2027, check the official K-ETA site, since exemptions are temporary and announced year by year. If you hold another Latin American or Spanish passport, check your own case there too.
