Stearyldisulfidehexyl sh-DNA-3 PEG-45/sh-RNA-2 is a synthetic human RNA strand conjugated with a synthetic human complementary DNA strand which is modified at the 5' end with Stearyldisulfidehexyl and at the 3' end with polyethylene glycol. The RNA is a Dickkopf-1-specific siRNA comprised of 19 ribonucleotides. The modified DNA is a complementary strand comprised of 19 deoxyribonucleotides selected from the human Dickkopf-1 mRNAs. This was developed for effective and specific degradation of mRNA coding for Dickkopf-1.
