sh-Oligopeptide-188 SP Amide is a single chain human peptide produced synthetically to be identical to a portion of the protein, Keratinocyte Growth Factor, and contains 13 amino acids consisting of arginine, glutamic acid, glutamine, glycine, lysine, proline, threonine and valine, in which the C-terminus is an amide. The starting gene is a synthesized copy of the human gene that codes for Keratinocyte Growth Factor, and is used as such. It contains a maximum of 194 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. It consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
