sh-Oligopeptide-108 SP is a single chain human peptide produced synthetically to be identical to a portion of the protein, Beta Defensin 103, and contains 45 amino acids consisting of alanine, arginine, asparagine, cysteine, glutamic acid, glutamine, glycine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, proline, serine, threonine, tyrosine and valine. Beta Defensin 103 contains 67 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. It consists of the proper sequence from the 20 standard amino acids.
