sh-Hexapeptide-7 SP is the single chain human peptide produced synthetically to be identical to a portion of the protein, Humanin and contains 6 amino acids consisting of aspartic acid, glutamic acid, isoleucine, leucine, proline and serine. Humanin contains a maximum of 24 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. The protein consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
