sh-Heptapeptide-6 SP is the single chain human peptide produced synthetically to be identical to a portion of the protein Collagen Alpha-1 (XVI) Chain and contains 7 amino acids consisting of arginine, aspartic acid, glutamine, glycine and valine. Collagen Alpha-1 (XVI) chain contains a maximum of 1604 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. The protein consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
