sh-Heptapeptide-11 SP Amide is the single chain human peptide synthetically produced to be identical to a portion of the protein, Pro-Opiomelanocortin and contains 7 amino acids consisting of arginine, glycine, lysine, proline and valine, in which the C-terminus is an amide. Pro-Opiomelanocortin contains a maximum of 267 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. The protein consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
