sh-Heptapeptide-1 SP is the single chain human peptide produced synthetically to be identical to a portion of the protein, Nuclear Factor Erythroid 2-Related Factor 2, and contains 7 amino acids consisting of arginine, aspartic acid, glutamine and valine. Nuclear Factor Erythroid 2-Related Factor 2 chain contains a maximum of 1604 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. The protein consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
