r-(Methionyl sh-Polypeptide-9 Oligopeptide-164 is a single chain recombinant peptide produced by fermentation in E. coli. The starting gene is synthesized by the fusion of the genes from sh-Polypeptide-9 and Oligopeptide-164 with the initiation codon for methionine. The fusion peptide contains 218 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycolyslation, and consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
