r-(Methionyl sh-Polypeptide-1 Decapeptide-47) is a single chain recombinant peptide produced by fermentation in E. coli. The starting gene is synthesized by the fusion of the genes from sh-Polypeptide-1 and Decapeptide-47 with the initiation codon for methionine. The fusion peptide contains 157 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycolyslation, and consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
