Polyurethane-80 is a urethane polymer formed by a multi-step reaction. First, a hydroxyl-terminated polyester made by condensing diethyl carbonate with Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol and Epsilon-Caprolactone. This polyester is then reacted with Isophorone Diisocyanate and 2-hydroxy-2,2-dimethylpropyl hydroxypivalate (hydroxyneopentyl hydroxypivalate), then capped with 2-Hydroxypropyl Acrylate.
