Nicotiana Benthamiana r-(s-Spider Polypeptide-6 Tripeptide-44 sh-Polypeptide-121) is a single chain recombinant peptide produced by Nicotiana benthamiana after transformation with either a transient expression system or transgenesis (stable insertion of a copy of the synthetic gene into its DNA). The starting gene is synthesized by the fusion of the genes from s-Spider Polypeptide-6, Tripeptide-44 and sh-Polypeptide-121. The peptide contains a maximum of 1017 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. The fusion peptide consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
