Escherichia Coli Extract/sr-(Prolinyl Di sh-Polypeptide-145) is a single chain recombinant peptide produced by fermentation in E. coli, where the final product contains proteins from the E. coli host. The starting gene is synthesized by the fusion of Proline and two repeats of the gene from sh-Polypeptide-145. The fusion peptide contains 17 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation and consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
