정의

이 원료는 바위의 화학적, 물리적인 풍화작용으로 생성된 필로실리케이트 미네랄의 그룹이다. 수화된 실리카와 알루미나의 다양한 양으로 구성되어 있고 2 마이크로미터보다 작은 입자사이즈를 갖고 있다.

The clay ingredients are comprised of silica and/or silicates, and In 2021, The Expert Panel for Cosmetic Ingredient Safety concluded that silicate ingredients, including aluminum silicate and magnesium aluminum silicate, are safe in cosmetics. Kaolin clay is close to the skin’s natural pH of 5.5, and Bentonite Clay sits at around 8.5 which are safe in use in cosmetics.

Clays work by adsorbing excess oil, impurities, and toxins from the skin. Kaolin is gentle and suitable for sensitive skin, while bentonite has stronger absorptive capacity, making it effective for deep cleansing and detoxifying masks.
