Cetyl C12-15-Alketh-9 Carboxylate is the cetyl ester of the carboxylic acid formed from a 9-mole ethoxylate of C12-15 Alcohols (q.v.). It conforms generally to the formula, where n has an average value of 8 and R represents the C12-15 alkyl group.
